Old Bethpage, NY – Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc. (FREE) is proud to announce that they were among those chosen by a panel of judges at Connoisseur Media of Long Island, after a nomination by the listeners of WKJY-FM, as the recipients of turkeys from Stew Leonard’s third annual Turkey Brigade in Farmingdale. The turkeys received by FREE will be distributed to individuals in FREE’s Scattered Site Supportive Housing. The supportive housing program provides housing and support services to individuals with mental illness living in the community.
“I thank the listeners of WKJY, Connoisseur Media, and Stew Leonard’s for this generous gift,” said Robert S. Budd, CEO, FREE. “These turkeys will go a long way towards helping our individuals in supported housing have a wonderful Thanksgiving,” he continued.

Stew Leonard’s has a long-standing tradition of giving thanks to the communities it serves. As part of the event 2,500 turkeys were distributed to more than 100 churches, civic groups, elderly housing and senior nutrition programs, and schools in the Norwalk, Newington & Danbury, Connecticut and East Meadow, Farmingdale & Yonkers, New York communities to help provide Thanksgiving Day meals for families in need.
