SANYS-U Graduation: FREE’s 2024 Class of Self-Advocates

26 Self-Advocates wore colorful caps & gowns as they graduated from the SANYS U leadership course. Family and friends of the graduating students were invited to listen to the final presentations and join in the celebration. SANYS U is 6 week leadership course, taught by Michelle Flood and Marisol Getchius from the LI Regional office of SANYS- Self-Advocacy Association of New York State. The course introduces self-advocates and their supports to the history of self-advocacy and teaches about human rights and responsibilities. Congratulations to the graduating class!
