The April 2nd radio program of Speaking FREE with Chris and Robert on k98.3 recognized Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month with a panel from the Self Advocacy Association NYS, (SANYS) and Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc. (FREE). Guests discussed the importance of self-advocacy and advocating for those not able to speak for themselves on issues that directly impact their lives. Panelists are: Michelle Flood, Director of Advocacy, FREE; Mickey Michaels, Coordinator of Family Advocacy, FREE and Stefanie Russo, Advocacy Peer Mentor, FREE; Bridget Cariello, Supervising Coordinator, SANYS and Coleen Mackin, Statewide President, SANYS.
