“We heard that our recent press release created some confusion” said Mark Preiser, FREE Board President. “Utilizing best practices as outlined in the Harvard Business Review, we are adopting a co-CEO/President title for Dr. Christopher Long and Robert S. Budd, with Chris focusing more internally and Robert focusing more externally.”
“Our previous release celebrated Dr. Christopher Long. Here we celebrate Robert Budd for his visionary and progressive leadership as CEO for the last 15 of his 37 years at FREE. His creation of our co-leader model 8 years ago, paired with his unique belief in synergistic connections and our partnership model for organizations, has branded FREE as an innovative and trustworthy partner,” said Preiser. Budd commented “Statewide, Federal and Global level learning and advocacy helps us to focus on macro solutions. Without true systemic change that harnesses the collective expertise of all service providers we will always be at risk of surviving, not thriving. Our model will allow us continued focus on synergistic partnerships we believe essential for all to thrive.”
Preiser concluded, “ FREE’s innovative leadership model with the unique leaders who make it happen ensures an exciting future!”
