Behavioral Health Children's Services

Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc. (FREE) is dedicated to providing person-centered services to assist youth & families as they work towards their goals and enhance success at home, in school, and other environments. FREE is New York State Department of Health certified and offers assistance and resources to families to enhance their overall health, well-being, and standard of living.

Home and Community Based Services (HCBS)

As a Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) provider, FREE is dedicated to providing person-centered services to assist youth & families as they work towards their goals and enhance success at home, in school, and in other environments. The program is designed to empower youths between the ages of 5 and 21 who are experiencing serious emotional challenges, as well as those with developmental disabilities (if they are in foster care) and medical fragility. It is a New York State Department of Health certified initiative that offers assistance and resources to families to prevent the need for their child to be placed outside of the home. Participation in the program is voluntary, and families are not required to pay any fees. Program staff are flexible and will meet with families and youths in their preferred locations, including their home.

Community Habilitation

Enhances social and daily living skills in a community setting.

Family Advocacy and Support Services

Provides families and caregivers with training and education to assist children with developmental, medical, mental health and or substance abuse needs.

Pre-Vocational

Provides youth 14+ with developing skills to assist with employment or volunteer opportunities in the future.

Supported Employment

Assists youth 14+ with obtaining and maintaining employment.

Planned Respite & Crisis Respite

Provides short term relief for families and caregivers while supporting children’s mental health, substance use and or health care needs.

Children and Family Treatment and Support Services (CFTSS)

Children and Family Treatment and Support Services (CFTSS) empowers young individuals (aged below 21) and their families to enhance their overall health, well-being, and standard of living. As a CFTSS provider, FREE provides person- centered services to assist youth and families as they work towards their goals and enhance success at home, in school, and in other environments.

Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PRS)

Services designed to help people restore and enhance personal well-being through social connections. PRS focuses on readiness development and skill building to enhance health and wellness, while expanding social skills, building meaningful relationships, and broadening community connections.

Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST)

Clinical Mental Health Services provided by a Licensed Clinician working to develop techniques for self-care in the home and the community.

Other Licensed Practitioner

A licensed individual is authorized to conduct OLP, which involves diagnosing and/or treating individuals with physical or mental illnesses, substance use disorders, or functional limitations.
