The “Talent Connection” Job Expo will offer job seekers an opportunity to discuss their skills and abilities with recruiters from key businesses on Long Island; and those businesses to reach out to a very special labor population, as well as learn valuable information at our employment workshops.

The day will commence with The Community Partnership Forum and will include a panel with manufacturers who have hired individuals with disabilities, job coaches and individuals who have been employed. Companies will learn what to expect when hiring someone with disabilities.

Job Seekers will learn the impact of employment on their benefits.
Tina Behnstedt, Financial Assistant and Planning, SILO
• Handling The “Hot Seat”
Job seekers will learn how to discuss difficult questions on interviews, such as lapses in employment, forensic issues, and disclose or not to disclose.
• Workplace Social Etiquette/Tips for Embracing Success in the Workplace
Job seekers will learn how to be comfortable with success in the work place, how to behave on the job, acceptable and unacceptable behavior.
