The Traumatic Brain Injury Medicaid Waiver Program serves as a vital and essential component in the lives of those affected by TBI and their families. As a team, FREE has witnessed the incredible trials and tribulations their participants are faced with in addition to the overwhelming obstacles they have overcome. Their men and women have been traveling to Albany over the last few years to advocate to legislators about the importance of these services and to ask them to please vote against the switch towards Managed Care Panels, which would affect their lives in unimaginable ways. FREE wanted their individuals to share their own personal journeys as TBI survivors. Their voices and stories can now be heard to gain support and spread awareness about the importance of the TBI waiver.
