Special Needs Jazz Ensemble to Perform With Queens Symphony Orchestra

On Sunday, April 19, 2015, the Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc. (FREE) FREE Players Jazz Ensemble, a group of differently-abled individuals who participate in FREE’s theater day program, will perform on the same stage as the Queens Symphony Orchestra when they open for the symphony at the I Hate to Practice Family Series Concert. The concert will take place at 3:00 p.m. at the LeFrak Hall of Queens College, 65-30 Kissena Boulevard, Flushing. Tickets for the event are free of charge to the public, but reservations are required. To reserve a seat, please visit www.queenssymphony.org.

This program will feature Ravel’s Mother Goose Suite, Featuring Animation by the Scott Bros. Duo with original narration by Sandi Billingslea; Saint-Saen’s Carnival of the Animals with original narration by Sandi Billingslea; and a Premiere piece by Lawrence Dillion.
